Adult film performer Ty Roderick has been hospitalised after a violent knife attack that left him with multiple stab wounds and a collapsed lung.
According to a GoFundMe page set up to support his recovery, Roderick was “stabbed from behind multiple times” during what has been described as a sudden and brutal assault. The fundraiser, created by his mother, confirmed he is currently receiving critical medical care in hospital.
“By the grace of God, he is still alive,” the statement read. “But his injuries are severe, and the road ahead will be long, painful, and uncertain.”
The attack has not only left Roderick facing a difficult physical recovery, but has also created financial pressure for him and his family. The fundraiser highlights concerns around mounting medical bills, loss of income, and ongoing treatment costs. As of April 16, more than $1,000 had been raised toward a $6,000 target.
Roderick has also spoken out directly on social media, sharing images showing a bloodied face and visible bandages covering his injuries. Addressing scepticism about the incident, he wrote: “Guess people think I’m lying. Well I’m not — each of those patches are where I was stabbed. Twice in the face and I have a tube in my lung keeping it inflated.”
In an emotional message to followers, he added: “You all know me for being strong… but right now I’m scared. I hate asking, but I truly need help.”
Details surrounding the circumstances of the attack remain unclear. Roderick has not publicly identified a suspect and has declined to provide further comment to media outlets covering the story.
In a later update, he thanked supporters for their messages and donations, saying the response had helped him cope during an extremely difficult time.
“I’m really overwhelmed and grateful for you all… it’s making me feel better about everything knowing so many of you support and care about me.”
Authorities have not yet released further information regarding the incident.
