Star Trek: Resurgence is set to disappear from digital stores for good, just three years after its original release.

The story-driven adventure — inspired by classic Telltale Games titles — will soon no longer be available to buy after the publisher confirmed its distribution licence has expired.
In a short statement posted on Steam, the publisher explained: “Our license to distribute Star Trek: Resurgence has come to an end, so the game will no longer be offered for sale.”
While no exact removal date has been confirmed, fans believe the game could vanish around May 23, marking exactly three years since its 2023 launch. Some players have already reported that versions of the game have been removed from certain platforms, including Xbox.
The good news for existing players is that anyone who already owns the game will still be able to access it through their library — but once it’s gone, new players may not get another chance to experience it.
Developed by Dramatic Labs — a studio founded by former Telltale Games developers — the game was praised for combining classic Star Trek storytelling with choice-driven gameplay.
Despite its positive reception, the game now joins a growing list of licensed titles that disappear from digital storefronts once rights agreements expire — a common issue in the gaming industry.
For fans of Star Trek, it’s another reminder that even well-loved titles can have a surprisingly short shelf life.
